What is the best path to learn cyber. started on tryhackme been going great but I’m hesitating if perhaps I should continue or move to hackthebox. rightnow reached the pentesting modules on tryhackme. is there sth more I can add to supplement my studies and have a better foundation, or I’m on the right path and I keep moving and later after 4 or 6 months move to hackthebox ??

Practice all theoretical concepts that you want to understand fully, take notes and write up everything you do. As for moving to hackthebox, the choice is yours. HTB’s courses and labs are known to be of a way harder level than tryhackme’s

I see there is tryhackme and hackthebox recently, I believe it’s something called war game just like when I was younger. You want to hack ? learn by real targets is better than a war game.
There are many ways but one is:
- Use Linux and get proficient with Bash. Learn all Linux commands.
- Learn how the Internet works. Install and configure some servers (via shell access).
- Understand System Architecture and how an OS works.
- Read every book. Ask yourself “why is it done this way and not the other way?”.
- Read the top 10 articles of Phrack.
- Join a hacker-channel. Sign up to TryHackMe or HackTheBox.
- Be playful.
